| Alpaca and Abalone Jewelry |
| In Mexico, where all of our jewelry is made, alpaca is the term they use for a metal that contains less pure silver than sterling (which is 92.5% pure silver) and more copper. The copper makes the metal more tough, and gives it a coppery undertone. Abalone is a lovely multi-colored, irridescent seashell. When the shell comes from the sea, it is brown and crusty; but once polished, its beautiful coloring is revealed. Best of all, this jewelry is far more affordable than its sterling counterparts.
